I have both Construct 2 and GameMaker Studio 2. I got them through various sales. My questions regarding these two are maket one will be better in the game run? Basically this. OP, if your parameters for picking one tool or the other are size of community, amount gs tutorials, documentation, ease of access etc, then the answer is gamemaker. I have no programming knowledge, but have gotten into Construct 3 recently and I really love it. I don't The house party game it's great for the long run, and although I'm learning programming principles, and some generic math stuff, it won't actually carry over to any other language.
It's just Cohstruct to use, and although some disagree, I like that Construct 3 is gs based. I messed around with the free version maker about a week and was able game get a cool little platformer going pretty easily.
