This film has some good action scenes and some incredibly poor scenes as well. John Adams was excellent. Maybe someday the movies will get better.

Cary Grant is his usual corny but lovable self—but he shouts at the top of his lungs throughout the entire movie! What evidence is there it happened as portrayed? How about an honorable mention for the mini-series Washington the Indespensible Man. He was an extremely effective cavalry commander, one of the best the British had to offer, which is why he continually got his own command and terrified just about everyone he faced.

Typically I only use segments of minutes to help set the tone for a lesson. While it may not portray history well the film by its very nature is history itself and worthy of watching, if only once. This is a fine film and the book is even better. I loved the George Washington series starring Barry Bostwick.

Instead of going down in history as a man that was actually praised by George Washington, which he was before he turned, he instead went down as the traitor that might have cost America West Point and gave up on the dream before it was fully formed.
